Nomos No. 1
In September 1956, when Ó Riada moved to Galloping Green, Stillorgan, Dublin, he composed the score for Hercules Dux Ferrariae: Nomos No. 1. It was performed for the first time on the 13th of September, 1957. Carlo Franci conducted the Radió Éireann Symphony Orchestra. The piece was included in Claddagh Records first vinyl record album in 1969 entitled, Vertical Man, played by the strings of the London Symphony Orchestra.
